Frequently asked questions.

Where are Callout Biotech’s physical offices located?

We are based out of Albuquerque, NM, but work with international clients all around the world and have bioinformatics consultants based internationally as well. Most of our work is done remotely, but we are always available to meet in-person if necessary and possible.

What are the benefits of hiring a bioinformatics consulting company?

Some jobs may be too big to handle on your own, but too small to hire a full-time bioinformatician (which comes with complications like the hiring process, paying benefits, etc). Callout Biotech makes it simple. Our bioinformatics consultants will be on-call for the duration of the project, however long or short that may be.

The analysis I am interested in isn’t listed on your “services” page. Can you help?

Of course! We have a core team bioinformaticians from varied backgrounds and fields, as well as a network of external bioinformatics consultants from even more diverse backgrounds. We are not limited to a specific list of analysis types. Contact us to see how we can help you!

How much do you charge?

The price will depend on type of analysis, number of samples, project length, and what additional services the client may require (eg. publication-ready materials, presentations, written section for grant, etc.)

Schedule a free consultation to speak with one of our scientists and we’ll give you an estimate.

How is data confidentiality handled? Will Callout Biotech claim Intellectual Property on my work?

Your data will be handled with the upmost privacy.

We will never claim Intellectual Property on any data or work done for our clients.

Do you require authorship on manuscripts?

We do not require authorship for pay-per-analysis services.

If you would like us to serve a larger role in grant proposal preparation in addition to analysis, we can discuss that during the initial consultation.

Do I need to have access to computational resources?

If you have access to a computing cluster, we are happy to use it to run your analyses. In the case you do not have access to computational resources, we can use cloud computing services.
